The photos below were taken on Memorial Day May 30, 2011.
They are of the home where Louis Faller grew up in New Milford on 636 Trenton Street. Every Memorial Day the parade marches down River Road from New Milford High School and makes a slight detour onto Trenton Street where Louis Faller’s house is and the parade continues past the house in honor of the VFW Post named in his memory and all those who have sacrificed their lives while serving America in the Armed Forces. They put a sign explaining why they march by the home under the flag pole on his front lawn. Many of the homes on the street have flags out, but the flag pole on his old home on this Memorial Day had a broken rope and pulley, and they were unable to fix it.
